Most of our Deschutes River clients stay at the Three Rivers Motel in Biggs
Junction, Oregon, or one of the numerous hotels in The Dalles, Oregon.
Biggs has few amenities but there is a diner about five miles down the road to grab
dinner at. We recommend bringing breakfast with you to your hotel. There is a
McDonalds right across the street from the hotel. Biggs is about five miles from the
river.
The Dalles has many hotels but most of our folks stay at the Celilo Inn, Shilo Inn or
the Comfort Suites. There are better restaurants in The Dalles. The Dalles is about
twelve miles from the Deschutes.
Some folks prefer to stay at one of the numerous hotels in Hood River, Oregon.
Although Hood River is a longer drive, it offers numerous hotels, great restaurants,
and a great atmosphere. Hood River is about forty minutes from the river.
There is a campground with full RV hook-ups at Deschutes State Park. The park is
located on the east side of the river, right across from the boat ramp. Camp sites fill
up quick so call ahead.
We admit the lodging options near the lower Deschutes could be better. If none of
these option suite your needs, consider booking a Deschutes Steelhead Camp Trip
or a Deschutes Trout Camp Trip.
