To Heritage Landing from the town of Hood River, Oregon
Take Interstate I-84 east Approximately 30 miles. This will take you through The
Dalles, Oregon. The exit for Heritage Landing is about 11 miles past The Dalles.
Take the exit marked Deschutes Park/Celilo Park. Turn right (south) from the off
ramp. You will immediately see a frontage road that parallels the freeway . This is
Old Moody Road but it does not have a sign. Turn left onto the frontage road (Old
Moody Rd.). Head east approximately 2 miles. You will see Heritage Landing on
your right side. If you go over the Deschutes, you have gone too far. Deschutes State
Park is on the East side of the river so don't get fooled! Heritage is on the west side
of the Deschutes.
To Heritage Landing from the town of Biggs Junction, Oregon
If you are staying in Biggs Junction, Oregon, The Three Rivers Motel is located on Old
Moody Road. From the hotel, turn left onto Old Moody and head west approximately 5
miles. You will cross the Deschutes River and immediately see Heritage Landing
on the south side of the road.
Parking at Heritage
As you drive into the park, you will see a parking lot on your right. Once you get your
gear on, follow the road down to the water. It's a short walk from the parking lot. If
you have a lot of gear to unload, you may pull into the "Raft" area to unload.
Do not unload your vehicle in the main boat ramp! There will be anglers wanting to
launch their boats. (We gotta keep the natives from getting restless!)
